1 pound CPR Waygu Ground Beef
2 tablespoons Olive Oil
4 teaspoons Garlic (4 cloves)
1 tablespoon Dried Oregano
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1 1/4 dry red wine (divided)
1 (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
2 tablespoon tomato paste
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
1/4 cup heavy cream
Freshly grated Parmesan cheese for
Kosher Salt and Ground Black Pepper
3/4 cup pasta of your choice
Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large cast iron sauce pan ( like Le Creuset) over medium heat. Add Wagyu Beef, crumbling with wooden spoon as it cooks. (About 6-7 minutes)
Once meat is browned, add garlic, oregano and red pepper flakes. Cook about 1 minute and then add 1 cup red wine. Scrape off any Brower bits and then bring to a boil. Lower heat and let simmer for 10 minutes.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add pasta and cook accordingly.
While pasta is cooking, finish your sauce. Add nutmeg, basil and cream and the remaining red wine. Let simmer for 10-11 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
Serve Sauce in dish with Parmesan on the side.
